| We acquired Trixie in 2008 at the same sale we purchased her son, Texaco MGS, 2 years earlier. We are very excited to own this grand old mare, an own daughter of Michigan's Action Jackson (HOF)! Trixie is the dam to the following ponies: Prince of Thieves Wonmore RB's Head Turner (HOF) RB's Special Affair RB's Wait N' See S&B Sweet Pete S&B Bullseye's Ballerina S&B Secret Affair She's Mint To Be MGS Texaco MGS Fancy Affair MGS After failing to conceive and carry a foal to term two years in a row, we decided to have Trixie evaluated at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine for breeding soundness. It was determined that Trixie had some uterine changes that would prevent her from carrying a foal without medical intervention and with medical intervention at 50% odds at best. We are firm believers that if you have to medically force a pregnancy to term it is not in the best interest of anyone. Trixie, being a very senior mare, we decided that she deserved a retirement from the breeding shed permantly. She is now at a retirement home enjoying the good life. |
